New Ventures

Hello Everyone,

I know it has been a minute, since I have written a new post! I am excited to get back into the groove of things!

Today is the start of a new venture in my life. I have been blessed with the opportunity of my current internship. I believe the best thing about starting a new venture are the possibilities that can branch off from them. It is amazing the type of people and activities that stem from starting a new venture. New ventures create a different mindset and thought PROCESS. It forces one to be open minded and to learn different ways of doing things.

So my message for this week is simple:

  • Start a New Venture (Job, Hobby, Friendsbip, etc)
  • Be open minded about the things that are associated with your venture!
  • Stay positive and learn something about yourself
  • As always, please comment and subscribe! I can’t wait to interact with you!!!

Looking into the Faces of Men

Looking into the faces of men

Seeing the stress and worn down feelings,  that look haunting my father

Tears begin to fall, thinking of what should  I have done

Tears still falling, knowing that love for family keep him in peace

Knowing that love for family kept one foot in front of another

Ask once again, what should I  have done

Eyes low with very little passion left  in them

Eyes low because of the weight of the world it seems

Once again, what should I  have done

Tears continue to fall knowing of the epidemic

Thoughts of change, thoughts of a better way

Beginning to ask, what can I do?

Tears begin to dry, and are replaced by a fierce look

Determination to heal the eyes of these men

Beginning to understand, life and its choices

Fierce look turns into a focused demeanor

Memory of those eyes sketched in my mind

Start of a movement to heal and better a world that is haunted

I hope you enjoy my poem! Leave your comments and please remember to subscribe!!! CIGL (Change Initiates Growth for Life)

    Primary Aim

My primary aim in life is to create and design a better physical world, and to help mankind to evolve our mindset to fit in that physical world. I want to write books to help with forming the right mindsets. I want to start creating a better physical environment through profit and non-profit organizations. I want to create programs and seminars to help others be active in the world! When I die, I want my family to say that I was loving, supportive, God led and a great husband and father. I want my friends to say that I was caring, helping, loyal and had there back! I want people from my church or community organization to think of me as a great leader, visionary, history creator, and world changing innovator. I want my coworkers to think of a great leader, open, hardworking, and someone willing to develop them.

As I share these thoughts, I want to encourage everyone to take time out to determine and begin mapping out their primary aim. The clearer the primary aim, the more capable one will be in completing it. One important thing about primary aims is that they are personal, it is not meant to be compared side-by-side. Think of your primary aim with the end in mind and work your way to the future; remember your primary aim is special and important. My primary aim is still a peace of work, which I believe will continue to change until I die.

Share with me how you feel about my primary aim! Please share your own and subscribe!!!

    First Time in Life

I think this is the first time in my life that I am actually meeting my potential! I feel like I been putting my all into life!!! I am loving life right now; I feel complete. I posted a week ago, “If people knew how bad I wanted this, they would know why I do what I do.” I have been working on my Master’s and getting ready to go to my PhD program. The biggest thing that I am enjoying about life now is the start of a new company with my friends, Next Generation Innovations. I have started to work on my purpose by being consistent with my blog and writing my book. I just feel like I am moving full throttle!

I am feeling complete; I feel that I have finally challenged myself. I know that I have a lot of things to do, but I am capable of accomplishing these challenges. The only down fall is that I have friends that believe that I am not resting enough or I am too focused and I need to take a break. I admit that I need to take breaks and need to enjoy the present, but I think I will find balance, I am  just excited! Well I hope you guys comment and give me feed back!!!

    Take A Day Off

“The people who were trying to make this world worse are not taking the day off. Why should I?”
    ― Bob Marley

I just heard about this quote a couple of weeks ago, and it has been on my mind ever since. This quote really touches me deeply because of its meaning to my journey. I know that my purpose is to make this world a better place. I know that there will be many against me, but I know that there will be many with me. Bob Marley is speaking truth about the people making this world worse are not taking a day off! When Bob Marley said this quote many of us would have understood him taking a day off, but he know that he had to stand by his own belief and understanding.

I know that many times I do not do enough! I think that Bob Marley understood that feeling and wanted to avoid it! I look at men like Bob Marley and I just want to say, “thank you!” He was a man that stood by his beliefs! I think he was a messenger to many of us. I hope you comment and share any quotes that have touched you!!!

What happen to us? (African Americans)

I mean really, what happen to us? I read and I have seen the profound effect that becoming enlightened and being God lead has done for this nation in the past! Now, we are falling to our own demise! We were a people of togetherness and desire not for only money but for true freedom. It seems to be that we relate money as a way of providing freedom, which is extremely misleading.

Our ancestors understood that God has lead us to be a people of togetherness! In our history when we stood hand-in-hand and cared for our neighbor, we were able to accomplish great things! We have changed a nation through our togetherness; we have changed a world. I believe the formula is as simple as: enlightenment*education*caring = magnitude of freedom.  I mean really the key things that appear in this equation is free and anyone can have it. This is why some of the poorest and underprivileged people in this world have given so much to it. I mean look at the black community, we are the least educated community in our nation, we run or shy away from a higher or greater calling, and we care only for ourselves. It should not take years of injustice and issues for our people of this great nation to take action. I believe that the condition of our nation is 50% the peoples and 50% the leaders of the nations fault. I am tired of the people of this world repeating history and using out dated systems to govern a world that is completely different from 50 years ago. I have pointed out African Americans out directly in this post, but I believe that we all need to take into consideration things said in this blog. We are the people of this world, it is our duty and responsibility to act accordingly. I was very compelled to discuss this topic this week, I know that I have not shared all of my thoughts, but I hope that I have caught someone’s eye and hope that we start making changes. We need to stand hand-in-hand and use the formula to make a difference in our world because it is our duty!!! Please post I love to hear your comments and subscribe! I also would like to know of any reading or videos that you might think I would be interested in! I hope I did not scare anyone away!!!

    My Vision Board

    20120319-182039.jpg

Today, I want to talk about my newly created vision board! My vision board describes my life in the way, if God willing, it will play out! I will start will the crosses and multiple Bible scriptures! I have implemented so many references to the Lord, because I know he is leading me. I put a cross in each corner as a boundary, which means that only Godly things can be inside of me! I put certain scriptures on the board to remind me of God’s love and to represent myself being filled with his love. Many of the words on my board are used as motivational phrases to keep me focused and to lift my spirits when I do not see things going as I planned. The other words, which are on the board, represent my desire for a better future!
There are five main pictures, all meaning something significant. The first picture is of Saint Paul Pierre, who is UFC Fighter. I chose this picture to motivate me to have the body God intended me to! The next picture is of the apple logo, which is a desire of mine! I’ll explain. I desire to have many apple products and for my company to be an apple dominate(d) company! The third picture is the New York Times Best Sellers’ picture. I want to have that title on all of my books that I will write and share with the world. The fourth picture is my house and the beautiful location. The next picture is of my diploma, which will be framed in my office. The sixth picture is of my favorite car! The seventh picture is of my first company as #1 on the Forbes list.
The eighth (last) picture is of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speaking to a crowd of people. I put this picture up there to represent the positive impact that I will have on this world! I will show the love for all individuals by the change that I push to be implemented in this world! I will make an impact as great as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As you can see, when I discuss my vision board, I discuss my board as if it going to happen.  I believe that this board represents my future! I suggest everyone create a vision board! I spend most of my time at my job, which is why it is right on my desk. I hope this inspires everyone to create one!

    Rebel for a Reason

Hey everyone, I wanted to talk to you about being a rebel this week! All my closet friends know that I have no problem being called a Rebel. I have desired to be different all of my life, it was something that really did not have any concrete reasoning until these last couple of years. I have always seen authority as something that needs to be refined, but these past years have created a burden on my heart. I have realized that authority is not the only thing that is flawed, so my rebellion is not only against authority but against what authority has become over.

I look at our world  and see the product of bad decisions on both sides of the line! We must have reform on both sides: logical, honest, and meaningful change. It is time for evolution of our minds, our hearts, and our souls! We have followed and fed into a system that has been around for thousands of years, few over many. I know in my heart that this is not the right way; I know that the slavery that many of our forefathers have fought for have taken a different form. This form has been around for thousands of years, but has never been at this scale. This slavery is called neglect; our assigned leaders have neglected there followers, our followers have neglected the system. This neglect has caused us to become ignorant to the world, to the abilities that we have!

In one of my post, I talked about a friend that discussed his thought about not being able to accomplish such a huge dream of changing our world! I think about my friend and him being a God worshiping man, and think of Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. I am a God fearing man and I know that this is true! I know that if we begin to try and fight for change then we will be Rebels for a Reason.

Look into the mirror and become a rebel within you and you will be able to be the rebel that this world needs! I am a Rebel for a Reason and I ask for you to join in and become a rebel for a reason!!! Please comment because each comment helps me become a better rebel!!!

    Finding You Part Two

I am going to get straight into this post, as you know, the last post I wrote was Finding You Part One. In the first post I discussed the first three rules in finding yourself:

    • STEP ONE: Do not limit yourself to just finding yourself!
    • STEP TWO: Understand that knowing yourself will be a lifetime journey!
    • STEP THREE: Write about you!

In my journey in life, I have realized that the next step is reflection. Reflection is important because it allows you to take a look back on what has occurred. This step works together with step three in complete unison! Reflection allows you to connect the dots and create a connection of past and current events.

    • STEP FOUR: Reflection!

The next step is to start taking these reflections and start setting goals! My recipe for making goals is very simple you start out by naming your long term goals, or that goal that sometimes seem out of reach! Well, actually write down both long term goals and that dream you have always wanted to obtain. After you write down these goals you start with making a midterm set of goals that lead you into achieving the long term goals. Remember that some of your long term goals should be to reach your goal that seems out of reach! The next step is two create short term goals that lead to achieving your midterm goals. You should have now created a path that shows you the direction in which you should be making moves. The last thing is writing down next to each goal why you are really doing this goal, try to get as emotionally attached to these reasons as possible. These will act as guard rails and keep you focused on your goal at hand!  The goal setting and resetting is an ongoing process if you are really doing step three and four! These three steps work together because writing allows you to release your feelings and your true thoughts. Reflection allows you to gather them and organize them, and goal setting is the end result of writing and reflection, which is that first step before precise action toward happiness, finding yourself, and following your purpose.

Now, I know some of you have come to a point that you have stopped dreaming or you may not know because you may have been blinded by life. I want you to remember that life for the most part plays out by the choices you make! I also know that many of you have been put in situations that you had no control over, but today and what you do with it is a choice. You cannot allow chains to be put around your hands in feet by past events. I tell my friends that by focusing on the past, you allow the past to control you. If you are at this point, keep reflecting and keep writing an answer will be coming soon!

    • STEP FIVE: Set Goals!!!

I think I will end here for today! I hope I have shined a light on the path to finding yourself and growing into the person you want to be! Please subscribe and give me your comments!!!

    Finding You Part One

I decided to talk about finding yourself today because it has been a big topic with one of my friends. She has been on this search to really define  who she is, which will lead her to what is her purpose. I heard her say something interesting, “I think I am wasting good life.” This really touch my heart and I had to write this post, maybe it will be a different means of delivering of the same thought. The realization of purpose and knowing your purpose will not and does not have to be after knowing who you are. I have been pretty aware of who I am and well when I found my purpose it verified and clarified things for me. So, my first step to find yourself is not limiting yourself to that!

STEP ONE: Do not limit yourself to just finding yourself!

Step two is about growth, which is a constant process in many people looking for higher callings! As a person grows they are not stagnate, which means that a person is constantly changing. I like to call it evolving (only if it is change for the better)!!! As a person changes, that book called, “Knowing Yourself,” just added some words, made some edits or even deleted some words. So the second Step is understand that this is a never ending process.

STEP TWO: Understand that knowing yourself will be a life time journey!

There are millions of thoughts that go through peoples mind a day. As you known, you cannot keep track of all those thoughts! A joke with my friends is that I use parts of my brain others do not! So you know I write things down all the time. It is time to start writing things about you. Writing things about you should range from situations that occur that continue to be on your mind through a feeling that you could not shake. Write about you because you are to complex!!!

    STEP THREE: Write about you!

Well I hope this is a good start for most of you all! Do not get discouraged about your progress because it is a process. The more time you spend with you the more time you will understand you! Quick Secret: It is just like any other relationship!!! Lol, maybe that will be STEP FOUR!!! I am just kidding! As you know, I love your comments: good, bad, or ugly.
